A couple weeks ago, my colleagues and I got the opportunity to
observe two Leopard II shooting in the training fields. Even tho we had
ear protection, it was pretty loud. I couldn't help jumping each time a
tank was shooting! Here's some pictures I took. Enjoy!
When they raise a red flag, it means that the tank is loaded and that it is necessary to wear our ear protection and glasses. When they raise the green flag, it is safe to take them off.
If I remember correctly, this was called the "Control Tower". It is where they controlled the targets to move in the field for shooting training.
